Editorial accuracy
Every DMV+ Plan is generated from a deterministic, hand-maintained rule set — not a language model improvising from training data. Fees, forms, deadlines, and official links are stored in versioned configuration files and reviewed against the corresponding state DMV pages on a fixed cadence.
- Each topic has a named reviewer and a "last reviewed" date visible inside every Plan.
- Default review cadence is 90 days. Time-sensitive topics (REAL ID enforcement, TX inspection rules) are reviewed every 60 days.
- Form PDFs are linked directly to the official DMV/HSMV site — never re-hosted.
- Edits to fees, deadlines, or required forms are tracked in our public changelog.
See the editorial review log for the current "last reviewed" date and reviewer of every published topic, or browse the changelog for substantive changes.

Non-impersonation
- The widget displays the DMV+ wordmark and the qualifier "by DMV.org" on every surface.
- We do not reproduce state seals, official DMV badges, or government typography.
- Every Plan links to the relevant official state DMV page so users can complete the transaction with the government.
- We do not collect or transmit payments on behalf of any DMV.
Privacy & data handling
DMV+ collects only what is needed to generate, save, and (optionally) email your Plan. We never sell personal data. See the full Privacy Policy for details on retention, subprocessors, and your choices.
To request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data, use the data request form. We respond within 30 days.
Security posture
- All connections encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+).
- Data stored in our managed cloud database with encryption at rest.
- Row-level security policies scope every read and write to the authenticated user or household.
- Document vault uploads stored in a private bucket; signed URLs only.
- Administrative functions gated by a separate role table and verified server-side.
- Quarterly security review of database policies and grants.
DMV+ does not currently hold an independent security certification (e.g., SOC 2). When that changes, we will publish the report's date and scope here. We do not claim compliance we have not earned.
Vulnerability disclosure
If you believe you have found a security vulnerability in DMV+, email security@dmvplus.club with details and reproduction steps. We acknowledge reports within 2 business days and ask that you give us a reasonable window to remediate before public disclosure.
Take-down & correction requests
State DMV staff, partner agencies, and the public can flag inaccurate guidance by emailing legal@dmvplus.club or using the "Report it" link inside any Plan. Substantive corrections to fees, deadlines, or required forms are applied within 48 hours and logged in the public changelog.
Shared responsibility
DMV+ supplies informational guidance. The state DMV remains the authoritative source for every transaction. Users are responsible for verifying current requirements before submitting forms, paying fees, or making appointments. DMV+ is not legal advice.
