Terms of Service

The service
DMV+ is an informational tool operated by DMV.org. It generates personalized checklists ("DMV Plans") and household-management features (document vault, recall alerts, reminders). DMV+ is not a government agency, is not affiliated with any state Department of Motor Vehicles, and does not transact with the DMV on your behalf.
Not legal advice
DMV+ provides general information, not legal advice. Always verify current fees, forms, deadlines, and eligibility with the official state DMV before taking action. DMV+ is provided "as is" without warranty of accuracy or fitness for a particular purpose.
Your account
- You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential.
- You must be 13 or older to create an account.
- Don't upload documents that aren't yours, that are illegal, or that contain malware.
Subscriptions & auto-renewal
- Auto-renewal notice (CA Bus. & Prof. Code § 17602, NY GBL § 527-a): Paid DMV+ plans are subscriptions that automatically renew at the then-current price ($4.99/month or $49/year for Individual; $7.99/month or $79/year for Family) until you cancel. We will charge the payment method on file at the start of each billing period.
- How to cancel: Cancel anytime from Garage → Settings → Manage subscription, or by emailing billing@dmvplus.club. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you keep access until then.
- Free trial conversions: If you started on a free trial, you will be charged the recurring fee at the end of the trial unless you cancel before it ends.
- Refunds: Issued at DMV+'s discretion for billing errors or duplicate charges. Partial-month refunds are not provided.
- Stripe processes payments. We do not store full card numbers.
Acceptable use
Don't scrape the service, probe it for vulnerabilities without permission, attempt to impersonate the DMV to other users, or use DMV+ to send unsolicited communications.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, DMV+ and DMV.org are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the service, including missed deadlines, ticket fines, or rejected DMV applications. Your sole remedy is to stop using the service. Aggregate liability is limited to the amount you paid DMV+ in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time from your account settings or via the data request form.
Governing law & dispute resolution
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these terms or the service will be resolved exclusively by binding individual arbitration administered by JAMS under its Streamlined Arbitration Rules, seated in Orange County, California. You and DMV+ each waive any right to a jury trial and to participate in a class action. Either party may bring a qualifying claim in small-claims court instead. You may opt out of arbitration by emailing legal@dmvplus.clubwithin 30 days of first accepting these terms.
